Fabrication of Self 2017-18 Pairs research which involves otherism with a practice that reflects structural ideals of racism directly focused on my immediate family. The work encompasses the use of marginalized identities under a catastrophic perspective and the monolithic view of these entities. This work is reactive to the perspective of consuming my own mother under such views. At the same time it creates a new focus on land migration, confrontation of land by using my grandparents' domestic space as center, the making of objects by mimicking and the exhausted conversation about self displacement.
